About Us

We are a family friendly public house situated in the centre of Middleton; a small town just under five miles from Manchester City centre!

We at the Middleton Archer, along with the help and support of our team, have introduced and maintained an excellent food offering, a five star food hygiene rating, expanded the range of drinks available, created a versatile function room space and have become a popular hub for quality entertainment week after week!

We do try our best to keep up to date with the latest trends – as you’ll notice throughout our menus, cocktail list, gin selection and seasonal ale introductions. However, we also appreciate that the old days are the best – and you’re sure to experience a balance between old and new themes, with a traditional approach to our entertainment schedule with classic quiz nights, karaoke discos featuring music from the best decades of the past and popular artists – known locally and even nationwide!

Pub History

Built by JWLees brewers of Middleton in 1974 and named to commemorate the Battle Of Flodden in 1513, the Middleton Archer is one of Middleton’s newest purpose-built public houses.

Due to its youth, it’s prominent position on the busy roundabout in the town centre and the famous archer sculpture at the front of the building, the Middleton Archer has become a well known landmark in the town.

When the pub was first built it boasted its very own restaurant and cocktail bar, which was subsequently converted into a vault, before its present use as a private function suite.

In the last decade, the whole pub has undergone a major refurbishment throughout, creating a comfortable and cosy open-plan lounge and bar area, making it a popular venue once again for food by day and quality entertainment by night!

We have many valued regular visitors, young and old, groups of friends and family taking advantage of everything we have to offer!
